Flex-Spending Accounts Reminder

It’s that time of year where we get caught up in the hurriedness of the season. Too often, and unintentionally, dollars in flex-spending accounts goes unspent.  Many do not know that the money spent on eyeglasses and peripherals are qualified expenditures.  The IRS allows medical expenses defined as amounts paid for diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of disease, or for the purpose of affecting any structure or function of the body.  In the Vision world that means prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses, prescription / non-prescription reading glasses, contact lenses, routine exams, and lens accessories such as microfiber lens cleaning cloths, and lens cases.

If you have been wanting a new pair of glasses, now is the time to act!
